 First Time Swimming
How do I introduce my Yorkie to swimming in the pool? I'm going to my sister's for the weekend and she has a pool. I was told that a dog's first experience with swimming is very important. If he gets scared, then he will never go near water again. What should I watch out for? Do I go in the water first and try to make in go in voluntarily? or do I hold him in my arms and walk into the pool with him? Please help! I don't want to get this wrong and have him associate swimming with bad experiences. |
