When we travel, we hire in-our-home petsitters that have petsitting businesses. It's cheaper and the dogs stay in our home. The petsitters come in 3x during the day and sleep over for $55 a night. I have three dogs and a parrot so boarding would cost me $25 per animal per day an I'd have to do vaccinate and my dogs would be stressed. They don't even miss us at home.

There are professional petsitter association and websites so you might find this in your area. I've also done day visits with no sleep overs and it works out fine too.
