Awww, sorry to hear that. I don't think that dogs sleeping with people is for everyone. For me it is a personal choice. I am a very light sleeper, so I know if my dogs get off my bed in the middle of the night and I immediately get up knowing they need something because they rarely get up. In fact, if they need to go out, they wake me before they get off the bed. However, I also sleep with my door closed, because I know that they would get up and down in the middle of the night to investigate noises they hear thoroughout the house. If the door is closed, they don't even think about gettin up. Might be something else to consider. You could also have the same effect of a baby gate at your bedroom door. Just anythign to keep them from having free roam of the house at night while you are sleeping. Oh gosh! Sorry so long.
