It is true a green eye shine will be a silky coat and amber colors tend to be softer coats, or modified. Pictures can be tricky though with the flash. To be certain I've found it best to look for the eye shine in a darkened room, with a light source coming in from another room....a true silk coat you will definitely see almost an emerald green eye shine.
