I have told them that we are going on a cruise the end of October for a week, so it needs to be a short term foster care before that. But when we get back we would like to be considered for long term foster care.
Bruce, my husband, said "You know, it won't be a foster for long, as we won't want to part with it" LOL.
The dachsies were all supposed to be rescues. But we ended up adopting them - but other than Ginger, they were all seniors when we got them. Ginger had a club foot which is why we took her in the first place, she was adopted from the first as we didn't think she would get a forever home.
When we got Beamer I had checked the shelters for a rescue, but they only had pit bulls, and the local Yorkie rescue group didn't have any in their care at the time. But I am glad I bought Beamer.
