I dropped her off early this morning. The vet told me not to feed her this morning or last night. Her blood was drawn, and then two hours later, the vet was going to feed her a fatty meal. After that, they are going to draw her blood again, and compare the two levels of her bile acid (which is the acids stored in her gall bladder and secreted from the liver). This test is usually administered during the first year of a dog's life. Some people do it and some people don't; I'm just overprotective and want to make sure that everything is alright. If the test is normal, they will be able to evaluate it there. If not, they will have to mail the samples off to find out what to do from there.
