My girl is laying on my lap as I type. She just had her teeth cleaned, and it has knocked her for a loop. She is fine though.

My Dad goes with me as I hate to strap her inside the car seat, in the back, when she is so groggy. He brought up a question, and I am hoping to get some feedback please.

Is she really safe in a car seat? What happens if I brake suddenly, or if I get hit by another car - will she fly out and break her neck? This makes me sick to even think about it, but about two months ago I looked in the back and she somehow got out of the seat and was hardly able to touch the car seat with her foot to keep her from hanging. I do have the strap tightened all the way.
