Thanks everyone for the tips. Yes, I have been gently wiping his bottom and genitals (cotton ball and warm water) before and after feeding...so have seen the 'results', so to speak. Right now they are a bit runny.
I'm not relying on his Mom for cleaning him, as she is rather 'random' in her efforts. I did change Charlie's formula late this afternoon to the diluted goat's milk and added a few drops of Karo.
Now I don't know if it's the goat's milk or just plain gassiness. Poor thing is still crying. I tired gently 'burping' him...haven't heard any bubbles yet...but will try again.
I did read somewhere the 'human baby gas drops' (simethicone ?sp?) may help. I'm guessing this might this be similar to the Mylicon? Will check with the vet to see about it.
I will see about milking his Mom. I swear, my human children were never this much trouble.
