Mine grew at a very rapid rate, too. From week 9 to week 10, she gained 12 oz, going from 38 oz to 50 oz, or 30% growth in just one week! I talked to the vet about it, and he really did not seem concerned, he said it isn't a problem when a small breed dog grows so quickly (but it will pose a problem in a large breed dog).

When I picked her out, according to the charts she should have ended up being around 6.5 lbs.

At 12 weeks, she already weighed 4.5 lbs, and "they say" that a good estimate at final weight is double the 12 week weight so at that point it was predicted that she would end up at around 9 lbs.

She's 11 months old and has been holding at 11 lbs 13 oz for a while, but I wouldn't put it past her to have another growth spurt. I've just stopped trying to guess what will happen in her case. She's very lean and very strong and sturdy, and still seems very small compared to the neighborhood dogs or the dogs at the dog park (even in the small dog side). She can really hold her own.
