 Help required
Hi I am new to this forum but need some advice, i have bought what i thought was a minature male yorkie puppy who weighed just 1lb at 8 weeks old, my problem is he is gaining weight at a rapid rate and now at 14 weeks weighs 3lbs and 10ozs. I am not aware that i am overfeeding although he has Royal canin mini dried food he only picks at it and i feed him 3 times a day with raw minced beef, chicken or tinned puppy food (he doesnt eat much tinned puppy food as doesnt seem to like it)
i cannot believe he has gained at a rate of 7 - 8 ozs a week when he should be gaining 2 - 3. His tummy is not particularly fat and seems like a normal puppy
any adivice would be appreciated
