Your pup has contracted kennel cough from the vaccine. That is exactly why I never recommend it be given to young pups. The virus just has to run its course. If the congestion and coughing get worse you can put the pup on antibiotics to prevent secondary infection but they won't help the cough itself. Most strains of kennel cough are viral. Don't worry, he'll get better. I would suggest that unless you need the vaccination for boarding you tell your vet you DO NOT want the vaccine given again.
