Default Owning a Yorkie-poo while working all day

Hi,

I am looking into getting a 9-10 week old yorkie-poo. My concern is that I work full time and will not be home for 9 - 9 1/2 hours four days a week and 11 hours one day a week. I do have someone who would be able to walk him once during the day for the majority of these days. Would that be an ok living environment for him? How often during the day would he need someone to walk / play with him? How often do yorkies like to go outside? Would I need to look into further pet care for him? I want to make sure I would be able to provide him with a happy and healthy living environment before I definitely decide to get him. His current owner said that the dogs go to the door when they need to use the bathroom and that if they don't make it outside they will use the pad by the door. I live in a one-bedroom apartment. Would a crate and a wee pad be the best way for me to train him? I would consider getting an older dog but wanted to check this option out first. I want to make sure I would be giving him a well-adjusted and happy living environment. Thanks!
Debbie
