I do this with Jackson, too. My dad lives about 40 minutes away from me and we visit once or twice a week. They have 2 dogs of their own. Jackson LOVES it there, it's his second home. He transitions really well between the two homes, as he has been doing it since he was 9 weeks old. We will typically spent the night over there when we visit.
