actually it's quite the contrary. i see them maybe once a month if that! and when i go up there i nearly almost always stay home the entire time and have the dogs outside all day if the weather permits. this is the first time i've ever left them with my parents. i've left them there in the pen when we all go out to dinner together but never left them with the parents until this time and we did ask them several times all week in prep. for this trip if they were ok with that.
