Vet care can be worked around, too. I personally took Jackson to a really nice spay/neuter clinic near my house. His neuter was $65, his microchip was $30, his teeth removal (many Yorkies have retained baby teeth) were $20. He gets monthly heartworm pills. I paid $19 for a 6 month supply of Iverhart Plus. He also gets flea/tick meds from April-October-ish. But I researched greatly before just allowing him to get neutered wherever. They were all really nice and the place was clean and organized. His rabies shot was only $7.
