DO NOT USE BELLY BANDS!!! It will not solve the problem. From what you posted earlier, it sounds like the crate is too big for crate training.

Since you will be away for 10 hours at a time, you might want to consider an expen and puppy pads. Have your carpet cleaned with an enzyme cleaner if you haven't already. If you cleaned with anything but an enzyme cleaner, you might not smell the pee, but your dog does. To him, your house is one giant bathroom. Belly bands are great to use temporarily and when you can change it frequently. Otherwise, your pup will end up wearing his pee around all day. Imagine the damage that could do to his skin.
