I know lot of people here do not like collars on there little yorkie. I have read all about it and weighed up the pros and cons and i think i really do need to have a collar on my Poppy. Where we live my front door leads out onto a big green with houses all the way around in a square. There is no front garden just a back garden and this big green in the middle of the houses.. If Poppy was to get out by accident she could run all around the houses and even down next to the river which is VERY popular with dog walkers. I feel alot safer if Poppy had a collar just in case.
I bought her a lovely collar and sent away to get her a spacial pink name tag. Its pink in a heart shape with Poppy on one side and my mobile number on the other side. I put it on her yesterday she looks very cute! she keeps trying to scratch it off but i am sure she will get used to it. I can fit two fingers down it so i know its not to tight it fits perfect. I had to buy an XXXS collar and its even on the tightest hole and fits her perfect (shes so small lol
).
I feel like a bad mummy because i have to have a collar on my little girl but in my area and the way the houses are set out its really not safe to not have a collar and name tag. Puppies are so fast and i would hate to even think what would happen if she got out and didnt have a collar or name tag on. She is starting to go out for potty so she seems to like it ouside and is getting used to it. I hope you all understand.
Does anyone else keep a collar on there furbabies?
