Syd's favorite thing in the world is her blue Nylabone dental bone. It is a medium hardness bone...so she does chew off pieces of it and swallow them. They pass right through...so I don't worry about it. Nylabone is made to be non-ediable...but also non-toxic if ingested. I would guess that you will be fine. However if you are really worried...get a nyalbone labeled "strong chewers". Syd can't get any pieces off of those.
