You will have to be so careful if you have a dog that is not fixed around a female dog on heat. They can have ''sexy time'' without you even knowing she is on heat and then you will have a bigger problem on your hands. My vet told me its around 6 months to a year they can come on heat and the first one is normal very light. Your doing a great job coming and finding out the info first.
