She's on a harness and watched very closely. I actually never leave the window at this point. She's really very good and stops and sits the second she feels a slight tug. Taking her out on a leash every time she needs to go is not an option until my ankle heals, which from the looks of it could be a while. If the yard wasn't so big I would do something to keep her from being able to dig under, but it's very large. I'm thinking about doing a dog run, where she can't get tangled at all - not much point until the spring, we usually have 10 feet of snow out there most of the winter...
