Inform yourself, i donlt mean in a rude way but what makes a dog is the owner. Pitbulls (like any big dog) might be a bigger responsability than owning a yorkie but it does not mean it is a bad dog, it is up to the owner to educate the animal, be it a yorkie, pittbull a rottweiler or even a monkey...so i think you;re over reacting...but do your research and make sure your bf does his!!!
