Sad Has anyone used Calcium Carbonate powder for their dog?

"Hi" My 12 year old Shih Tzu has recently been diagonised with Kidney Failure. She's on med's from the vet & Sub Q fluids here at home every other day. I know to feed her a low Phospherous & low Protein diet. A very kind member of another forum told me to add Calcium Carbonate powder to her food. She suggested I get this from NOW Food off the internet which I did. I don't think it's made specifically for dogs but dogs can use it.

My Shih Tzu weighs 11 lbs and the Supplement Facts on the container say:
Amount per Serving: 1.2 g (1,200 mg) Serving Size: 1 Level Teaspoon
Which isn't much of a help cause it doesn't list anything else like weight of person/dog to amount of dosage. I don't want to over dose or under dose her.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
I've attached a pic of my Gracie.
