My dog travels extremely often, but always in cabin so I'm really nervous about putting him in cargo to go to the UK. So I am considering going via Paris, then renting a car to take through the tunnel.

Has anyone actually done this? I've read posts talking about this, but I'm not sure if anyone has really done it successfully.

If so, what official vet did you use in Paris? Was he/she able to help you get your dog ready for the UK or was it a bit of a process?

Basically while this way may avoid cargo, I'm nervous that it may also make the trip a lot longer and more confusing.
