That's good you are checking with your vet, always a good idea. I've had most every dog here scoot their bottom at one time or another....with them it's always been because they had a piece stuck on their hair. Sometimes even a tiny piece will make them scoot to get it off. I've never had one w/worms or anal glands that needs to be expressed.
