i love your decor style...have you considered buying mesh or some other material at the fabric store? you could pull it taught or weave it in and out maybe? I dunno, just looks like a lot of area to cover with gates....not sure how you could secure the bottom, aside from pulling it taught... i think the plexiglass is a good idea...
