You have to be very patient and gentle with her, talk to her in a calming, reassuring manner, tell her what a good girl she is. Try to make grooming sessions short (less than 10 mins.). As you comb hold onto her hair behind any mats or tangles so that it doesn't pull against her skin as you work them out. Offer her a couple treats, during the grooming. Also, make sure you are using a detangling spray of some kind, as you don't want to brush/comb a dry coat....not only is it more difficult to brush, but it will also damage her coat if dry.

Be consistent with short, daily grooming sessions and soon she will be used to it. She may never love grooming time but will learn to tolerate it very well.
