 can a yorkie get sick from sadness?
We got our dog the first day of my summer vacation. I teach, so I've spent every day with Dinky since we got him. We have left him alone for about 4 hours at a time a the most. He doesn't like it, but he does not freak out. He just stays in his crate. We have noticed that when I leave him with hubby that he gets sad and lonely. Now I've spent two days this week at school, and DInky is doing terrible. Even though my husband is home, Dinky is just pining away all day. He won't eat, drink, or play at all until I get home. Now that I'm home, he's had water, food,and is playing happily. Has anyone else had a yorkie go through this kind of adjustment? I'm assuming that he will adjust eventually, but will it be sooner or later? Can he get sick from not eating and drinking for 10 hours at a time? |
