I agree. When shopping for a carrier I focused on the dimensions more than I did on the size. I've met smaller dogs (in height and length) that weigh a few lbs more than Kaji. Even though he's a certain weight, he doesn't always fit the parameters of that weight in height and length. It makes it more complicated when shopping for clothes too.
