I also live in Palm Bay, FL. The 2004 hurricanes were very destructive to everyone here. We left for Georgia for one and stayed for the next. We only had one dog at the time, but had no problem taking her out to potty. Now I still have her (my pek of almost 13 years who is blind, back legs are frozen, has heart murmer, terrible allergies, and is almost at the end of her life) and two small yorkies. If I have a problem taking them out, whether we go or stay, I am planning to put up the IRIS puppy pen with nothing but newspaper or puppy pads in it. I will put them in it to potty. Since they are only outside pottiers, it may be a while before they potty, but it may be safer than them flying around the back yard. That potty training does come in handy though. My pek did her business just so I would get her out of the rain. Good luck and make sure you have a hurricane kit for the babies. I have a thread somewhere on here with a list of supplies.
