I'm not a big fan of these training methods. You would probably have better luck with positive reinforcement. You first teach him how to sit and stay using treats. Next, go up one step and tell him to stay. If he doesn't, come down the step towards him and he should back off. Repeat. If he stays, give him a treat. It is a long process, but the end result is better for you and your Yorkie. |
