Puppies can have bad breath because of undescended baby teeth. Thor's breath was awful, even though I brushed his teeth every day. Once he had his four baby teeth removed, it smelled 100% better.

Does she smell fishy? That could be anal glands.

Generally speaking, a yorkie should not smell bad, or even particularly doggy. You can do a search in Health & Wellness on odor, and see what comes up. It could be a health problem.

A dog might also smell "musky" after coming into contact with other dogs, but it shouldn't be a horrible, persistent odor.
