Unfortunately, there are a lot of greeders and petshops that will tell you their dogs will only be so big, when they really have no clue. The size of the dog will end up being determined by genetics, and the size of all the pups at least 3 generations back will give you a rough idea. But even that can be misleading- as any dog can throw a larger or smaller than normal pup.
I believe people are inherently trusting when it comes to certain things. We want to believe that people will tell us the truth. That's no excuse for not doing your research. To paraphrase Ronald Regan- trust, but verify.
To the OP- Welcome to YT. I'm glad you will love your little girl no matter what size she is. I've got a bigger boy that I love to pieces. I tried to look for Johnny's Pets online, but couldn't find a website. Did you do your purchase straight from a site, or did you go to the breeders home?
