My three little girls had dentals done once or twice a year, and I never got used to it. They always did fine, and woke up very quickly once they withdrew the gas. When Ashley got older, I had to stop anesthesia unless it was absolutely necessary because she had an enlarged heart, but she still needed one surgery for an anal tumor and two times that she had infections and needed extractions. The last one was when she was sixteen years old. Ashley passed away right before her seventeenth birthday, but I believe that doing regular dentals is one of the things that helped her live such a long and mostly healthy life. Your baby needs to have his baby teeth extracted, so you are doing the right and loving thing for him. He's going to be just fine. I'm sure you are going to be exhausted tonight because of all of your worrying, but your little boy will probably will want to be running around playing. I hope the minutes fly by for you and that you have him back in your arms very soon.
