I have a 4 1/2 month old male Yorkie and a 9 month old female Shorkie. My Shorkie has a habit of humping her bed, my little Yorkie and my two Basset Hounds who are 13 months old. They are all spayed by the way except for my male Yorkie who will neutered in a couple of months. Now my Yorkie has started humping the bed also. I asked the vet about this and she said it's nothing sexual, she said they hump from excitement. I know male dogs do this but I never thought a 4 month dog would be ready for this. The funny part is when they hump my Basset Hounds, she humps their heads instead of the other end. My Yorkie is just humping the bed and hasn't tried to do anything with the other dogs. I was kind of concerned about this until I talked to the vet, but now I have to laugh every time I see it.
Anybody ever heard of this?
