Indoor v. outdoor training I'm having trouble house-training my 14-week-old Morkie Cooper. One of the problems is that it's very difficult to take him outside often enough (he pees 8-10 times a day, poops 3-4 times) and stay outside long enough (he gets very distracted) because I have two small children -- a 3-year-old daughter and a 14-month-old son -- who are either trying to follow me outside every time or crying for me on the other side of the door or doing who-knows-what in the rest of the house.
SO I'm considering training Cooper to go inside instead, probably in the laundry room. I could put in a babygate several inches off the floor, so Cooper can get in but the kids can't. Indoor would also be great in the cold Indiana winters.
What does everyone think about indoor potty training? I've never known anyone who's done it, but it sounds fairly common for small dogs. My husband thinks it's weird. But I'm the one at home all day!
Thanks!
