I do believe, over time, a steady high protein diet will cause irreversible problems which I have seen too many times.
i also have seen for myself and believe a high protein diet will affect behaviour making them hyper or as a very old time breeder friend of mine coined the phrase, 'running on their toes' which describes it well.

What diet do you recommend or use for your dogs? I am feeding Fromm's Grain Free and the protein is 30%...they've been on it for over a year with no ill affects at this point. I feed this because I thought Megan had allergy issues but we're finding out that may not be the case so I could switch their food once we know for sure.
