I only had my puppy for about month. he's about 6lbs now (his dad dog is 15 lb, mom dog is 9 lb) I noticed if i just give amount like....1 cup for a day, spilt that to 1/3 cup 3 time a day. If i give bowl let him eat it all up, he usually will has gas, belching or once in a while throw up, so I give him spoonful food seperatly wait for him finish that, wait for few minutes then give other spoonful of food, again and again until that 1/3 cup meal bowl are empty. Its very helpful for my puppy. (he's 3 months old this wednesday) food amount really depend on dry food bag you give. if bag said for 5 lbs, give 1 cup amount, that means 1 cup per day, spilt that into 2 or 3, or whatever how much meal you feed him a day.
