So frustrated...
Bad news - Brodie has an underdeveloped portal vein so they may not be able to ligate the shunt at all. They said if they can't they will perform a scrotal urethrostomy so that he is able to pass the stones that he makes. Brodie currently has a stone that was in his urethra. It was moving like a ballbearing but today it blocked him. I had to bring him to his local vet to have a catheter put in to push the stone back into the bladder. Unfortunately Cornell has been insanely busy and they can't fit Brodie in until Sept 15th. My local vet is concerned that the stone is going to block his urethra again - and so am I. This is so frustrating for Brodie and I both. I just wish I could make him healthy
