Mmmm thinkin about fried chicken & dumplings are making me hungry. :-p |

I understand.

You know, it's funny because what's considered "soul food" in the north is considered southern food in the south. A lot of southerners (all races) eat fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens and "grits" here. Most have no idea that it is considered "soul food" in the rest of the world

I think I am the only person here who does not know how to fry chicken...frying wasn't popular in Connecticut when I was young. Oh, did you know that years ago, they served grits at McDonalds here!!! It was discussed a couple of times on one of the local news stations.
