I have both Buddy Belts and Choke-Free harnesses and like them both for different reasons. I like the hole cut-out for their legs on the Buddy Belt a little better than I do the Choke-free design, but the buckle is a little more of a hassle to deal with. The velcro is definitely easier to work with than a buckle, except the velcro is a problem for dogs with long coats. But the choke-free velcro at least closes at the top of the back as opposed to underneath (like some harness vests), so that does make keeping long hair out of the velcro a little easier.
You really can't go wrong with either one. The leather on my choke-free croc embossed one is a bit stiffer than other leathers but after a few uses does soften nicely.
