You're thinking of this all wrong. You should pity people like this, after all they don't know the love of a yorkie. They don't know what it feels like to have a friend that loves you so unconditionally and brings such joy to your life on a daily basis. Maybe someday if they are very lucky they will get that chance, but the chances are good that they will go their whole lives not knowing that joy. They deserve your pity, after all you know what they are missing, they don't. Just enjoy the gift you have been given, smile to yourself when they make these comments, you know the truth and so do we.
