 Do they make doggie Valium?
Roxie had a major freakout last night, and I have no idea why. Usually we put her in her little crate/house before we go to bed. She doesn't usually put up a fuss at bedtime. Last night, when DBF tried to put her to bed, she barked, growled, and bit him! He decided to leave her out of the house and go to bed.
Around 2am she began barking like mad. DBF got up to see what her problem was. He took her out, just in case she had to potty, but even after that she continued to bark angrily at him. I came down and we cornered her so I could pick her up. I held her for a bit, and I thought she had calmed down. I tried to put her in her house and she bit me too!
Between the two of us we finally got her in the house and got the door zippered. We went back to bed and she continued to bark for another 30 minutes at least.
What the heck happened? What could have possibly caused this freakout? What can I do next time to handle this kind of thing better?
