This little girl could very well be soft coated. However, some take longer to grow into adult coat.

The fact that she was bred on her first heat could be the very reason she hasn't taken to being a mom. Breeding should not be performed until 2nd heat and/or 18 months of age. Mental maturity should be taken into consideration as well as the size of a girl. As proven with this little one, she was too small and needed a C-section. She may have been 5 pounds and whelp time, but that was very much because of the pups she was carrying.

Good luck with these pups and take care of your little girl. Her health is very important to the health of these pups.
