When their anal glands are impacted, it is very uncomfortable for them, especially if they are walking around. It is like having two walnuts on either side of your anus....not pleasant.

I would be making sure that she is getting enough fiber in her diet by checking out the nutritional label on her food.

Also when giving her a bath, get a small tub and allow her to sit in it and soak her anal area. The moist wet heat will also help in keeping the anal glands moving.

The one thing you do not want is for them to rupture. Andromeda has had two ruptures and it is very painful, and a lot of work to keep clean and heal.

It will not give them the sensation of a full stomach but it might make them feel bad enough not to eat.
