Well I never had my tonsils out...but I did have a nodule on my thyroid removed. I had a very sore throat and no voice for a few days. My husband was thrilled! At most it was more annoying than painful. I was nervous also, but it was not nearly as bad as I had imagined in my head. Just try to relax, best you can..and I will send prayers..good luck.
