She will probably feel a bit better in the morning. Did the vet send you home with any pain meds? Picking her up by scooping her under the butt is good, but you also want to put your other hand under her arms (kind of with arms half folded), but not on her chest if that makes sense?

This is a great time to baby her , she will love it and so will you. If she still is not drinking you can try a little syringe with water and just squirt it in the side of her mouth, I had to do that for a few days with one of mine as she would not drink at all. They all react differently, but in general, once they are feeling better, you usually have a harder time keeping them from jumping or running around too much.
