I agree with tjdmom. I would try making the experience of seeing men a positive one, not a negative one. The spraying him when he gets upset with men is only going to reinforce his beliefs that men cause bad things to happen to him.

I would suggest having your brother (or any other man he gets this way with) feed him treats or pet him or whatever he enjoys. Help him see that he will not be hurt again and that he can trust men.

As for your brother's comment, that is unacceptable! What a disgusting and horrible thing to say I really hope he did not mean it.
