Toy breeds are notorius for having dental problems. Lots of vets and breeders will tell you to feed them dry kibble. I guess it would depend on the age of the pup. Mine were 12 and 14 weeks old when I brought them home so my breeders said not to use wet dog food. I free feed & put 1 cup of fresh kibble out each morning. They usually don't eat it all so I toss out anything leftover. Between my 2 adult dogs they eat (combined) a total of 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food .
