personally, i would not care either way- i actually feel stupid because i hadnt known prior to YT that they even had their tails docked, i had also thought the same as another poster that they were born with them that short b/c they are a small breed. i dont think un-docked tails detracts from their beauty or anything, so it wouldn't weigh heavily on my decision to get any dog. imo.
but i am just wondering if anyone knows why they dock tails on any breed? is always purely cosmetic? i thought i had heard that they do it because some dogs [esp. larger breeds] have very strong, powerful tails? i may be way off, but im just wondering...i also dont see how this poll is offensive? it seems pretty harmless to me. alot less controversial than some other threads, anyway.
