You, Scott, and Layla never cease to amaze me. You have such a sweet, happy, determined little girl. You really should consider putting this all together and write a book about your journey with Layla, even if it's in log or diary form. We as a community have been really moved and helped by hearing her story, and I'm sure many other animal lovers would also love to read such a heartwarming, inspirational story about a very special little dog and her devoted parents. With your permission, I'd like to tell my students about Layla's story. I will be starting my thirty first year of teaching in a couple of weeks. I usually start off the year sharing some stories of people that were told that they would fail, had no talent, couldn't overcome medical odds, and things like that to try to motivate them. I've collected stories from a variety of places, some from Chicken Soup for the Soul books and others from doing a bit of research. Layla's story would be one I know my high school students would love, just as I have loved reading every post on this thread since it began.
